Beeswax offers numerous possibilities for industrial and private use. However, for it to work as intended, quality is crucial. This is especially true for use in the beehive: If inferior wax is used, for example, wax diluted with paraffin or stearin, or contaminated with drug residues, a bee colony can, in the worst case, die. Even with certified organic wax of non-German origin, caution is advised: It often comes from the exploitation of wild bee colonies in Africa, which are completely driven from their hives using smoke for wax production. Therefore, it is all the more important to rely on quality-conscious suppliers who genuinely care about their products and the animals. Beekeepers themselves are usually a good choice. You can, of course, also buy pure, natural beeswax in pastille form in our shop.

Incidentally, inferior wax is often recognizable by its disproportionately low price. Therefore, caution is advised.
